Visited the Cao Dai temple outside of Saigon... a religion established in the 1920s to combine religious and secular philoshophies of East and West: Buddhism, Confucianism, and Christianity, Taoism, native Vietnamese spritualism, and Islam. Spirts i contact with the Dao Dai include French author Victor Hugo, the Chinese Dr Su Yatsen, and Veitnamese poet Nguyen Binh Khiem. The architecture is a somewhat Disneyesque blend of influence a well.
