.au: the blue mountains

candace and i spent a weekend in the blue mountains, which should really be called the blue 'canyon,' as it was more of a carpeted grand canyon, forested with eucaplytus trees. we managed to fit in all the highlights i'd identified in the lonely planet: we saw the famous '3 sisters' rock formation, hiked by a waterfall, wandered the ghost town of hartley, went on a kangaroo hunt and managed to see some brown bouncing spots in the distance, caught a glorious sunset on sunset rock, and finally hiked down to the gum forest.
